What is hypnosis?

It still surprises me, the myths surrounding what hypnosis is and what it is and what it is not. Many describe hypnosis as an altered state of consciousness. I believe it is not so much an altered state but it IS a state, part of our mind that we don’t correctly tap into in order to live to our full potential. Without getting too scientifically technical, it is a fact that our critical mind makes up 88% of the cerebral real estate, with 88% of that our subconscious thinking. We go into a hypnotic trance just about every day of our lives. If you’ve ever been driving and gotten lost in thought, SO lost that you don’t even remember how you reached your destination, THAT is hypnosis. Anytime we daydream and our thoughts go on autopilot almost like a movie playing in our heads, THAT is hypnosis. Hypnosis used to be thought of as “sleep”, hence the term “deep sleep” but in all reality you are never MORE aware or even more alive than when in the state of the hypnotic trance. It is very real, and very powerful,
Can I be hypnotized?

Though there are some who will tell you that everyone is hypnotizable, this is only half true. Not everyone is “immediately” able to be put into trance. Research has shown that the higher your intelligence, the more suggestible you are to being hypnotized. Those with lower IQs and/or who have a resistance to hypnosis will have a harder time accessing their subconscious mind, though with practice and time, you can learn to open yourself up to being “tranceable”.
Can hypnosis make me do something I don’t want to do?

This is a resounding NO. Studies have been done on this issue, and no matter how long or hard the hypnotist attempted to try and make the subject do or say something that goes against their moral fiber or beliefs, it was unsuccessful. Our subconscious mind is our protector, it keeps information safely tucked away (ie traumatic memories) and knows it must strictly abide by your moral code and belief system. That said, that does not mean that you cannot become “influenced” and essentially brainwashed over time. Mind control definitely exists, which is why it’s important to make sure you are trusting a trained and qualified hypnotherapist to guide you on your hypnotic journeys.
What is erotic hypnosis?

Very simply put, erotic hypnosis is using the art of the hypnotic trance in order to gain sexual satisfaction. Using the concept of imagination, and creative visualation, erotic hypnosis can be “mind blowingly” orgasmic, utilizing the power of the human mind and the impact of “suggestion” to intensely stimulate the body. Because some people cannot visualize well, then very sexually charged words and the sense of touch are equally as potent.
What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is using hypnosis for mental, physical and emotional therapeutic purposes. By accessing your subconscious mind, it is very possible to change behavior patterns and break bad habits. Everything from tackling quitting smoking, weight loss, sexual dysfunction, self esteem issues and much much more, can be directly addressed and very effectively using the power of hypnosis.
Is there a difference between erotic hypnosis and erotic hypnotherapy?

I’d like to think so, at least to a certain degree as far as what services I offer you, and I DO offer a “service”. I have no interest in only helping you achieve orgasm via your hypnotic fantasy sessions. At the very core, I am a therapist first and foremost and it is my desire and my goal to aide you in discovering more about yourself and your desires, hidden just beneath the surface of your mind.
